The back suction phenomenon of vacuum pump is related to buffer bottle

    in General Discussions

The function of vacuum pump is to absorb the air in the production environment, improve the vacuum degree of the environment, and reduce the air pressure of the environment. The back suction phenomenon of vacuum pump mainly occurs when the pump fails or operates improperly. Once the reverse suction occurs, the production should be stopped immediately, because continued production will not only cause greater damage to the pump, but also pollute the production environment and cause serious production losses. Why is backsuction related to vacuum pump buffer bottle? Sometimes reverse suction occurs because the liquid in the production environment directly enters the pump body without intermediate buffer, so the liquid will erode the pump body and cause corrosion of internal components of water. When the liquid in the vacuum pump buffer bottle exceeds the marking, it shall be handled as soon as possible, and backsuction may occur if it overflows. Some vacuum pumps do not even have this part of the design, using a small capacity tube to replace the buffer bottle. This method can be adopted if the content of ambient water or other liquids vacuumized is not too much. Back suction does not necessarily cause serious problems. We need to further observe and see where the back suction liquid is. If it does not enter the pipeline or filtrate bottle, there will be no big problem. When the vacuum pump is started here, it can return to the original position under the action of pressure. If it exceeds these positions, it may enter other positions of the pump when the pump is started again, affecting the operation of the pump. The function of filtrate is to absorb water vapor or other components in the air. When the pump sucks back and liquid enters the filtrate, it is necessary to replace the new filtrate, because its absorption capacity may be affected, affecting the filtration function of absorbing air later. Some vacuum pumps have high power and can pump high vacuum. When they are not operated properly, serious back suction will occur. Some vacuum pumps can cut off power in time when reverse suction occurs, so as to prevent leakage or short circuit from burning the motor. Some pumps do not have this function, so we should pay special attention when using them. Generally, adding a buffer bottle can reduce the occurrence of backsuction, and even if backsuction occurs, it can be made up in time. Therefore, it seems that the vacuum pump buffer bottle is of great use. You should know that once the vacuum pump is damaged, the cost of maintenance and replacement will not be too low. If adding a small buffer bottle can prevent this part of expenditure, it is a very meaningful operation for producers.
