A week into the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Black Sea port of Kherson has become the first major Ukrainian target to fall under the de facto control of Moscow’s forces.

Russian artillery and missiles continue to bombard other major cities, including the second-biggest city, Kharkiv, and the capital, Kyiv, where several large explosions were heard overnight.
