Sociology paper outline

There are three types you can use for your sociology paper outline: post-draft, conceptual, or traditional. Each one is different and has its own uses.

For those who love to think outside the box, conceptual outlines can be a great tool. Instead of writing, draw! A circle is the source, while a rectangle represents the central theme and a triangle the conclusion. All of them are interconnected by lines and arrows.

Post-draft planning involves writing down what you want to cover on a piece of paper. As the ideas arise, you can do this. These should be supported. Don't worry about order; simply get it down! You can then arrange everything neatly by using bullet points.

The most popular and well-known method is the "traditional outline". This is a way to break down paper according to the format you will be using. The introduction, the body paragraphs and the conclusion are generally included. It is usually presented in headings (e.g. Introduction, Body Paragraphs and Conclusion) with the numbers or alphabetized lists below that contain the necessary information. It's okay to get lost, as long as you understand it. It's the most commonly used so that's what we will focus on.
